With more than two decades of experience in the financial services field, risk management expert Bjorn Pettersen has worked with a vast range of banks and Wall Street firms. In his current role as partner in IBM’s Financial Services Consulting Practice, Bjorn Pettersen engages in strategic risk management and risk analytics for the company. Previous positions include executive roles with Global Risk Management Consultants, Inc., First National Bank of Chicago, and Charles River Associates (CRA).
His success rooted in a strong academic background, Pettersen holds an MBA in finance from the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona, as well as a Master of Management from the Norwegian School of Management in Oslo, Norway. Bjorn has served as an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business, and he also lectures on risk management at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
In his free time, Mr. Pettersen enjoys traveling and engaging in various arts and crafts, in addition to honing his photography skills and enjoying the outdoors.
